We are all filthy rich. We mightn’t feel like it, but in global terms we are the richest 5% of the world - we are filthy rich. There is nothing wrong with being rich - but there is something very wrong with being rich and idolatrous; the trouble with riches is that it is difficult to be rich and NOT idolatrous. This week we are looking at Hosea Chapter 10; here God rebukes Israel for turning the riches that God has blessed them with to idols: ‘The more his fruit increased, the more altars he built; as his country improved, he improved his pillars.’ This chapter invites us to examine our own lives and consider: what are the idols of our time? And, which ones are we suckers for?

The Tregear Church website is undergoing a transformation. In order to do so, we would like to get your feedback as to what you think is important for a church website.
The survey is split into 4 sections covering:
our church community
our local community
yourself and technology and finally
anything extra you would like to add.
There are 10 questions in total - so the survey should only take about 5 minutes to complete, however, if you would like to think a little about it - it may take a little more time.
Dave Newmarch preached on Jesus resurrection on this Easter Sunday.
During the Easter Sunday talk Dave showed parts of John’s Gospel on DVD instead of the Bible reading. The sound from the DVD clips did not record clearly enough so they have been edited out. Here are the Bible references:
