What is a Christian Preschool?

Tregear Presbyterian Preschool is a Christian Preschool where children are introduced to Jesus and nurtured to live with and for Him. All children are respected, educated and cared for with diligence and kindness. Children are encouraged to explore the world, learning that it is God’s world, made and cared for by Him. We accept all children regardless of culture, gender and needs. The individual needs of each child are catered for with careful planning.

Our Preschool

  • We provide a friendly and caring educational environment.
  • We do this by acknowledging that each child is an individual who works and develops at their own pace. We believe that children learn through play in a stimulating environment that encourages creativity, exploration, independence, decision-making and co-operation.
  • We provide an open door policy for parents. Parent involvement is encouraged and parents can benefit from our resources and knowledge.
  • Each child is assessed and their development is recorded in their personal profile which is available at all times.
  • We are available to speak to you daily about your child. In June each year we have parent/teacher night. The Director is available at all times if needed.
  • We adhere to Priority for Access and Subsidy guidelines as set out by DOCS. Childcare Benefit is available.
  • We are open school terms, Monday to Friday 9am-3pm.
  • Children follow Healthy Eating, Keep Fit, Music Therapy and Choices Behavioural Management Programs.

Early Intervention Service

At Tregear Presbyterian Preschool we believe all children are special and therefore we cater for all levels of need.

To best provide for all children at the centre the Director will interview the families of children with particular needs to arrange staffing and resources.

We employ several support staff:

  • Speech Therapist: Tuesday
  • Special Needs Teacher: assesses each child and writes an Individual Education Plan. This teacher will work individually with your child.
