Our church motto is:

Making Known the Truth Hope and Love of Jesus

Our vision for our church is covered in 3 areas:

  1. To love and fear the Lord
  2. To Be a Growing and Ministering Church Family
  3. Reaching our local community

1. To Love and Fear the Lord

God Glorifying

Our church exists for the glory and honour of Christ.

Living under grace/redemption

We are people who belong to God (1 Pet 2:9), much loved (1 John 3:1), and saved in His great mercy for us (1 Pet 1:3). We walk in this truth (Col 2:6). We affirm that the Lord brings to our lives both cheerful times and suffering, both for our good (Rom 8:28) and both in His love (Heb 12:10).

Zealous for a deep personal knowledge of God and personal holiness

We seek to know God intimately (Eph 1:17): to fear Him for His majesty (Deut 6:2), to worship Him for His mercy (Ex 34:6-7), to serve Him passionately (Col 1:23), and to glorify Him with personal and cooperate holiness (Ps 119:4-5), being empowered by and filled with His Spirit (Eph 1:17, 5:18, Gal 5:16, Rom 12:11).

Bible Saturated

We hold that the word of God is authoritative, infallible, reliable, sufficient and inspired (2 Tim 3:16). With the Psalmist we affirm: “Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97) We believe that God’s word is an indispensable means by which God converts unbelievers (1 Peter 1:23) and grows His people (Mark 4:26-29).

Preaching
We have preaching that:

  • explains the scriptures (expository)
  • gives praise to God (doxological)
  • moves the heart, mind and will (exhortative)
  • shows us from the bible how to live (applied)

Prayerful

Our lives will most glorify God when we depend upon His help and grace in all that we do (1 Pet 4:11) with thanksgiving (Phil 4:6).

Passionate Singing to God Together

Our church considers the sincere worship of God in singing by His people to be delightful to Him (Ps 141:2), glorifying to Him (Ps 22:3) and edifying for His people (Col 3:16) and a way of expressing emotion to God (Ps 63:3). We seek to do this in ways that connect with contemporary culture (1 Cor 9:20-23).

Ministry and Our Heart for God

We believe that a passionate love for God is a key to effective ministry. Our love for God will empower our ministry to one another and to the world (Col 1:29).

2. To Be a Growing and Ministering Church Family

Family

Church family is very important to us. Our church values marriage, singles, parenting, old age, middle age, children and youth (Ps 127:3, Is 46:4, Mk 3:31-35).

Caring

Our church strives to be a community belonging to God that cares for one another (1 Cor 12:24-25).

Everyone ministers

Everyone in our church is a minister and has responsibility for the growth of others in the church (Eph 4).

Training

We seek to be a church where people are being trained to do God’s work (2 Tim 2:2).

Discipline

We believe that it is our responsibility to correct one another (Gal 6:1-2).

3. Reaching our local community

Evangelism

We are a missionary church. We are striving to reach Mt Druitt and Western Sydney for Jesus. We do this individually, through the church service and through outreach programs. It is our desire and goal that disciples would be made of all nations (Matt 28: 18-20).

Connecting with our culture

We strive to be culturally relevant in our church services and programs. We pursue this tenaciously (1 Cor 9:20-23).

Relief for the poor and oppressed

Our church seeks ways to offer assistance to struggling people in our area, spiritually, emotionally and physically (Jer 22:16).
